Sydney Tree Works — Tree Removal in Engadine, NSW

I live in Alfords Point and have just had a large gum tree removed from my front garden by Jim and his team. The stump will be ground out next week. Their quote was very competitive and Jim was obviously very knowledgeable when we discussed details prior to the quote. Jim and his team arrived on time, were friendly and extremely efficient. It was very impressive to watch the tree climber go about his various tasks. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sydney Tree Works to any of my friends requiring tree work to be done.

I had a hedging job and called Jim at Sydney Tree Works after receiving a flyer in the mailbox. I looked on line and saw very good reviews about their work etc. I sent a text and Jim dropped over (24/10) and gave me a quote. We agreed on the price and a few days later Jim set an date (13/11) to complete the job. On the day of the job no-one turned up and I got a message from Jim that one of his men was sick and he would have to put the job off for a week. Fair enough. The following week (20/11) no-one turned up on the agreed date. No message, call or text as to what was going on. Since that time until today (28/11) I have called three times and sent two texts. No answer to calls or texts and no return calls. Not a word. I went to Sydney Tree Works because of the flyer seeking work and the good reviews. Very strange way to do business and I have no idea what went wrong.

Had Jim and his team help reduce the height of three Lily Pilly trees that had run away from me. Dealing with Jim was as good as it gets in terms of customer service and my only regret is not having more stuff for him to do! So happy I've now found 'my tree guys', and will be recommending them to everyone I know without hesitation. Great job at a great price. Thanks heaps.

We have no hesitation in recommending Sydney Tree Works. Jim and his team removed several diseased gum trees from our property, and were very professional in everything they did. Jim quoted the job and was very knowledgeable and obviously new his stuff, and his quote was very competitive. We would be happy to use them again should the need arise. Updated review - We had need to remove another large, and tricky gum which was overhanging our neighbours' property. Again, Jim and his team didn't disappoint. Job was completed in an exceptional manner at a good price. They even cut up some logs for neighbours, and left our property in a neat and tidy state. No hesitation in recommending Jim and his team.

These guys are terrible. Their staff are rude and lack common sense. Common courtesy suggests that when working on a boundary they would knock on the neighbour’s door and talk to you. They accessed my property without permission, trampled our garden and cut a hedge so excessively that we’re now left with sticks. Poor quality work, see photo.
