Today we visited Westfield Chermside, reputed to be the largest shopping centre in Queensland and the third-largest in Australia. After walking through it myself, I can absolutely confirm its staggering scale! It is genuinely too massive to conquer in a single day, and the sheer variety of goods and facilities is completely eye-opening. An Endless Retail and Entertainment Hub: The diversity of stores here is incredible. Beyond the major department stores and fashion brands, you can even find highly specialized hobby shops like a fully stocked Warhammer store. On the entertainment front, there's a massive EVENT Cinemas complex featuring a wonderfully retro-styled Parlour Lane precinct, making it a true mega-hub for both shopping and leisure. Architecturally Stunning Dome Area: This was undeniably one of the most breathtaking outdoor sections of the mall! The dining precinct features a massive, modern white geometric lattice dome. Natural light filters through the large circular skylight and the intricate patterns, casting beautiful shadows across the astroturf below. People casually sit around here, soaking up the sun and chatting; it's an incredibly relaxing and well-designed space. A Dazzling Array of Global Cuisines: The dining options here are so abundant that it makes choosing very difficult. Alongside the bustling, diverse food court, there are several highly stylized themed restaurants. We spotted "Hong Kong Lane" with its cool retro neon signage and the incredibly trendy, all-pink "Donana mini hot pot", both of which are visually striking. The Perfect Pitstop: After plenty of walking, we decided to grab a hearty lunch at the highly popular '63' restaurant (Cafe 63). In a massive, energy-consuming mall like this, sitting down for a satisfying meal to recharge your batteries is the absolute best feeling! If you love retail therapy or simply appreciate modern shopping centre architecture, this is an absolute must-visit destination in Brisbane's northern suburbs!

It’s the biggest shopping centre in QLD and 3rd biggest in Australia, so I decided to explore this place. The cheapest way to come from Brisbane City is take the 330 bus on Queen St bus station platform 1b, which can directly take you here. The bus stop is on the south entrance so you might find Myer easily. There are like 2 main passages on GF but only one main passage on 1F. Its interior architecture shares similarities with Pacific Fair but this place is a lot more crowded than Pacific Fair. Outdoor area is on 1F on the west end is smaller than Pacific Fair’s but it tends to appeal to children. The majority of the mid-range restaurants and dessert shops are also located in the outdoor area, while the food court is located on GF. I had an amazing meal in Little Singapore on 1F, where I enjoyed the succulent Hainanese Chicken Rice. In addition, David Jones, Woolies, Apple Store, Lego store, Pop Mart, and a smaller food court are near the north end on GF. Target (west) and Kmart (east) are near the middle on GF, whereas Event cinema (southwest) is on 1F. Most of the shops and restaurants locations on Google Maps are relative to the inner mall locations so if you can’t find the shop, just look at Google Map and compass to find the correct directions to go. It’s a nice experience to roam around the entire mall and the interior structure is less intricate than Pacific Fair and Robina Town Centre, but Pacific Fair still stays as my favourite. This is the 2nd Westfield Mall I’ve been to and it’s way more fun and lively to wander through than Westfield Helensvale. Overall, I highly recommend the tourists to visit this massive shopping centre as the first few places out of Brisbane CBD. It is no doubt the best shopping centre to go shopping in the entirety of Brisbane and more dynamic than Uptown or QueensPlaza.

I visited Westfield Chermside on Boxing Day, and it was exactly what you’d expect from one of Brisbane’s largest shopping centres during one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The centre was absolutely buzzing with energy — packed with shoppers hunting for Boxing Day bargains across fashion, electronics, homewares and more. With hundreds of stores under one roof, the variety is unmatched, and the sales made it worth the visit. Despite the huge crowds, most stores were well staffed and organised, and many had clearly marked discounts, which made shopping easier than expected. The food court and restaurants were busy but offered plenty of options to take a break, recharge and enjoy a meal or coffee before heading back into the shops. The overall layout of the centre is modern and spacious, which helps manage the crowd flow even on such a hectic day. Parking, as expected on Boxing Day, required patience. It took some time to find a spot and later to exit, but that’s understandable given the occasion. Public transport would be a good alternative on peak days like this. Overall, Westfield Chermside delivered a lively and exciting Boxing Day shopping experience. If you don’t mind crowds and plan your visit well, it’s a fantastic destination for deals, dining and a full day out.

Westfield is a massive shopping centre. It has so many shops from clothing to sports to kitchen appliances and not to mention food courts and even restaurants. It's so popular it can unfortunately get a little crowded and parking at certain times of the year can be difficult.

Westfield Chermside is my go-to mall! It has almost everything you could think of, from great shopping options to plenty of places to eat and relax. I especially love the playgrounds where my toddler can have loads of fun on days he’s not at childcare. It’s always a convenient and family-friendly spot to spend the day!
