We engaged Hortum to create the landscape design for our upcoming residential development at Hope Island, and the outcome exceeded expectations. From the outset, Hugh and the team genuinely listened to the brief and took the time to understand the vision for the home. They collaborated seamlessly with our building designer to ensure the landscape complemented the architecture rather than competing with it. Their expertise elevated the concept significantly, introducing ideas and detailing we wouldn’t have achieved on our own. The final renders were visually spectacular and gave us complete confidence in how the finished product will present. The level of detail across materials, planting, and feature elements was impressive and thoughtfully considered. The only constructive feedback would be that communication was a little slow at the beginning of the project. That said, this improved noticeably as the design progressed and the overall result speaks for itself. We would confidently recommend Hortum to anyone looking for a high-end, well-considered landscape design.

Todd, Hugh, Camilo and the entire Hortums team are an absolute masterclass in landscaping. They transformed our backyard exactly as per the renders, no small feat given how complex the project was. From excavation and managing services through to the planting palette, tiling, sandstone retaining walls and even a pickleball court, every detail was executed flawlessly.
