AAA Lawn Services — Landscaping in Hackham, SA

Very sorry to have to leave this review, which seems to be at odds with the other reviews here, but we have been left with a dead/dying lawn after using AAA (photos attached). We asked for advice on a new lawn and were assured that rye seed to replace Buffalo was the way forward. The cost was $2000 to poison the buffalo, prep the area and put down the seed. This seemed quite a lot for seed rather than turf, but we went ahead. Matt set up our sprinkler system to regularly water. Initially the seed was washed away in patches by the sprinkler, so with some encouragement, Matt returned to re-seed, and we were advised to hand-water the grass. This was a labour of love, as it needed to be done carefully three times a day in small amounts. We stuck to this religiously, and some seed germinated, probably representing 50% of the area. Advice was sought again (I could only engage Matt by text) and I was told to buy some more rye seed and oversew it. Again, after some encouragement from me, Matt finally agreed to come and do this himself, and he left us with a bag of seed to continue to do this. Over the weeks, and with diligent watering and oversewing, perhaps 60% of the area germinated. Remaining areas refused to germinate and we were advised (by text) to put down sandy loam on those areas as it may have been that the sun was burning those areas. Again, we diligently did this. Over 2 months of careful watering and care, the lawn is hopeless (see photos). This week I asked Matt for further advice, and was told to put down insecticide. When I tried to explain that we had paid for a lawn, and that really AAA should come back to look and give expert advice, we have been ghosted. I understand of course that lawns can be difficult and that sometimes things don't go to plan, but I hoped that AAA would see this through and help us to the point of getting a reasonable lawn. Matt has replied to texts, but a repeat visit and a plan to remedy the problem would be the right way to respond. We will move on to another company and try to get reasonable advice and solution, and reluctantly write-off this $2000 and considerable time invested into the lawn.

Matt and his team scarified, aerated and top dressed my lawns. They even came back later to check the lawn was doing ok. I have found them passionate about their work. They are reliable and have the machinery to do a great job.

The guys at AAA were great to deal with and very efficient with their service and did a great job. Matt was fantastic to communicate with and the work was completed when on time. I would happily recommend them to anyone needing slashing and lawn mowing services. Check out the before and after photos.

Can't talk any higher of Matt and his team, Chris and the rest. They are the pinicle of professionalism and that's hard to find these days. We own our own business and are too busy to look after our own lawn. They come in every scheduled visit and always do an amazing job. Highly recommend and trust so far as to say they know where the spare key is kept. :)

matt and his boys are very professional and really good in anything to do with gardens lawn and all maintenance. was really easy at communication and got the job done in good time, really well priced. would really recommend AAA lawn-services.
