Phoned and asked them if they had a top dressing for lawn. They recommended their premium soil which is a mixture of sand and loam. After spreading on the lawn and watering off the dirt it became apparent there were a large amount of stones measuring between 5 and 20 mm. These would be an absolute disaster to the blades on my cylinder lawnmower. I picked up three handfuls ( probably about one third of them). Six days later I went back to purchase some mulch so took the stones I had collected. I showed the young man the stones and suggested that he complain to their soil provider. He said the stones couldn't have been in the soil and would give me a full refund, ( which is not what I was looking for or asked for), if we went to the pile and found stones. The pile had now been added to with new soil and no stones found in the new lot, but at the back where the soil was that I had been supplied with, it was obvious that there were stones. When I showed him this he became defensive and said this was acceptable as a base for a lawn and that I had purchased the wrong soil ( it was their recommendation). So, as he pointed out the new load of soil did not have stones, but it was still ok to supply me soil from the old pile with stones.🤔 I would have been happy with an apology, or to make me even more satified, perhaps 5% off of my next purchase. I was told if I didn't like it to leave. A shame after buying our firewood from them for almost 20 years! The young man could do with a lesson in customer relations.

Have been coming to this landscaping supply business for over 20 years. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially if you are not sure of what it is you need or how much you should purchase. There is a large range of sands, soils, rocks, mulch and most things required for outdoor landscaping. They have redgum firewood. There is a free trailer service to collect yourself or they can deliver to your home.

Look they are very friendly and good prices, but and this is pretty disappointing, their “premium soil” which we covered our front yard in was absolutely riddled with soursob bulbs (there was previously no soursob that grew here). This will be a good 5yr battle to eradicate them. Very disappointing and sadly makes me not want to buy anymore products from here

These guys know their stuff. I rang with approximate measurements and they were able to give me a rough estimate of what it would cost to mulch the garden. It happened that they were able to deliver within the hour and the mulch was done by the end of day. I was extremely lucky they could do it so fast and very happy with the outcome. Average quality yank and stone - very dusty and crushed at very different sizes smaller than 12mm - and expensive at $130 RRP. Good customer front desk though. First photo is the yank and stone from Pimpala. Second photo shows a sample from another load from somewhere else.
