Curtain Square — Garden Design in Carlton North, VIC

A really vibrant and inviting park and community space in Carlton. It includes a couple of kids playground (parts of which are shaded), basketball and netball rings, plenty of grassed space and an off leash dog area also. Public toilet on site and easily accessible to the amenities of Rathdowne Street.

Iconic park. Not many around this area that suit both kids and adults alike. Toilet was diabolical though. Think someone was living in there.

Pretty chilled vibe on Sundays. Met some great locals. Dogs are not allowed off leash in the playground section (on leash only). However, there is a small fenced off dog play area. I have to be honest, I did meet a couple of unfriendly dog owners perhaps they are having a bad day. Sorry that was just my experience. Everyone else were great. Plenty of space to have picnic and hangout.

Gorgeous little park right near Rathdowne village. There is a playground, where there are always young children and families playing. The trees have great shade if you simply want to take your book down to the park to read, and there’s a really relaxed vibe.
