Brilliant handiwork from Alistair. I took 4 of my knives to be sharpened and am very happy with the results. My pairing knife had a broken tip and required a fix which was done beautifully. Thanks to Alistair for his great work in rejuvenating my knives.

What an absolute gem! Alistair is a retired engineer who takes pride and passion in his new found craft. Meticulous. Looked up my knives brands and the according recommended sharpening angle. He uses a clamp and stone wheel method. So glad he’s decided to pursue this hobby as a small business. It’s brought joy back to using my battered knives. Have recommended my friends to him. 👌🏼

Exceptional craftsmanship. I normally call around for a couple of quotes, but after speaking with Alistair I didn’t feel the need to contact anyone else. He explained the different knife-sharpening methods and his knowledge immediately stood out — especially knowing he’s an engineer, which gave me real confidence in his work. Turnaround was same day, and even with some decent nicks in my knives, everything was sharpened out perfectly. Highly recommend. Fascinating person to talk to as well.
