Waddell Landscape Design & Construction — Landscaping in Docklands, VIC

At the risk of being sued, I need to tell my not positive stories about Rob Waddell and Waddell Landscape Design and Construction. My original brief to Rob, was to rebuild a dodgy pergola that was not really protecting my dogs from weather. Then I explained I wanted the side and front garden to meld together to give my dogs more space. The areas, side and front needed new fencing. Initially, new fences were built. After less than an hour, my dogs broke through those fences, which were fixed by brads (Rob actually said the brads were industry standard apparently for fence building). The next day the brads were replaced by more brads, and surprisingly my dogs got through again. At that point, Rob suggested I would need to pay above and beyond to have fixtures made stronger. I have got so much more to tell you and I will. Do not ever use Waddell. When they first started working, they broke the circuit to my outside light. When I asked Rob to replace that light, he told me that his apprentices told him the light was not working. He did not seem to believe that I would know the workings of my own house. At some point, I asked Rob to replace the light, and lo, My outside light worked.

My request was for a proposal regarding the scope and installation of six tall pencil trees installed on a boundary. I was given a proposal and costing which I was pleased to accept. They turned up on the appointed day, and completed the work in a most satisfactory way. They completely cleaned up the site afterwards and removed all of the rubbish. Some weeks later, I am most satisfied with Waddell Landscape, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

It has been over 2 years that Waddell Landscaping completed the Landscaping project of my home. As the garden matures the beauty of the plants continue to evolve. I am really impressed at the time and effort put into the planning and how all the features are in sync reflecting a very thoughtful process of design. I cannot recommend Waddell highly enough for this beautiful job. I will not hesitate to use this company again.....

Great garden designs, high quality construction, collaborative, straightforward, honest. The words above describe our experience engaging with Rob and his team at Waddell Landscapes & Design. From the very start, Rob’s knowledge, experience and communication style was invaluable in helping us understand how we could achieve the best results that met our budget. Initially, we engaged Rob to help us turn a bare plot into a functional and kid friendly backyard. Rob and his team designed and constructed a fantastic space, complete with veggie patch and stone wall, to this day we still get positive comments from people. The whole Waddell team have a collaborative approach to make sure we were satisfied at each step of the process through to completion. We were so happy with the results and overall experience with our backyard, we engaged Rob and team to also design and construct our front garden and paved areas. The whole team to be super friendly and well organised. Rob made himself available to answer all our questions, is pragmatic and offered great garden advice. I’d definitely recommend Waddell Landscapes if you’re looking to design and construct an outdoor living and garden area.

It’s been 18 months since we embarked on the journey to transform our suburban backyard into an oasis. Leila our designer listened to our wants and likes and gave us an amazing design. The trades team were amazing prompt and polite, we miss our morning coffee reviews with them all. Rob congratulations on a fabulous company and we would not hesitate in recommending you and your team.
