Beautiful park to walk
Jan 2026
M.O. Moran Reserve is a peaceful and well-kept community park, perfect for families, joggers, and anyone looking to enjoy some outdoor time. The green open spaces are ideal for picnics, sports, or simply relaxing under the trees. The walking paths are smooth and pleasant, making it a great spot for morning walks or light exercise. The reserve includes good recreational facilities such as a playground for kids, benches, and shaded areas for resting. It’s also pet-friendly, so many locals bring their dogs for walks and playtime. The park is clean and well-maintained, showing that the local council takes good care of it. With plenty of parking nearby and a calm, friendly atmosphere, M.O. Moran Reserve is a lovely escape from the city’s noise. Whether you visit for a quiet break, a jog, or a family outing, it offers a refreshing and relaxing environment. The combination of greenery, open space, and community spirit makes it one of the nicest local parks to spend time in.

Healthy walk with beautiful beach. Excellent at sunset. Crowded.

A large dedicated grass area that's well cut and allows dogs off-leash! There is a busy road relatively nearby, but can be avoided as the grass area is quite large. Nearby outdoor gym and a dedicated track for walkers/cyclists and joggers. Great views of the ocean and definitely worth a visit!

Be careful! You’ll fall in love with this place and you’ll always have to come back... so avoid this area, unless you want to risk a recidivist urge to keep revisiting or even consider living in the area. A nebular weightlessness of a galactic experience, a sense of how it feels to live in a Claude Monet’s painting... and did I mention “Impression Sunrise”? Depending on the time of day, the weather & the season, the dithering ambience vacillates between impressionism & expressionism, dallying with Edvard Munch (No, it’s not Edward, he’s Norwegian, 1894) and his Anxiety at the sunset one day, cheating with Renoir’s Two Sisters the next day. It is an artwork alive.
