Disappointing experience given the 5 star reviews. Went with Waterwise in 2021 as I thought it was better priced and local, but it added up as much as larger companies anyway, but without any quality control. Poor communication from the contractors who show up when they want to. Sloppy workmanship and I wouldn't recommend using expensive pavers with them - uneven laying, cut out one of the garden beds at an obvious angle (supposed to be rectangular not trapezoid) and had no quality control to rectify it themselves without us telling them it was clearly wonky, pavers have sunk under the aircon unit and now floods the unit when it rains, pavers have not been laid in a way that they slope towards the drains so now there's a pond to drag the bins through when rainy. Drains were left clogged with grouting, contractors broke the tap (became very loose in the wall after they completed works), grouty footprints were left on pavers etc. When sprinklers got clogged within 12mo warranty, they tried to blame it on garden works damage but they were the ones who did the garden work too... *we never engaged another gardener *even with the previously within warranty issues we were attempted to be hit by a surprise invoice so why would we try with the stone pavers which are set in grout

So many 5* reviews, I thought it would be a great idea to go with Waterwise Landscaping for our backyard. Now I am ashamed that I handed over our hard-earned money. We paid Waterwise $1700+ upfront for a "landscape design" - nothing complicated, just natural lawn, some paving and native/edible garden beds. Mirek told us that the cost of design would be deducted from the overall cost if got them to do the work. Still today, Waterwise have not provided a final quote for our backyard design. All we have is a drafted quote, with the wrong address, and an image that most landscaping companies will provide free of charge. I contacted Mirek on the 3 September 2022 and he told me they could do a detailed design and quote that we would be able to use if we wanted to DIY elements (i.e., we wanted to know the sub-surface design, retic plan, etc so we could work around it). I told him that we needed professionals to do the hard landscaping (paving, a couple of raised garden beds, reticulation, lawn) that we couldn't do ourselves, but we were planning to do the gardens and DIY certain elements (e.g. calisthenics). It was November before we received a final 2D image of the landscape design and we were shocked to discover that Waterwise wanted to charge us $180 per m2 to SUPPLY travertine pavers! With installation, they wanted to charge us nearly $15,000 to supply and install 35m2 of travertine! We contacted numerous suppliers throughout WA but couldn't find travertine pavers that cost more than $123m2. Overall, the total quote to do our backyard was $58,000, which when we looked at in detail was completely unjustifiable! I was left to assume Waterwise overpriced their quote so much to ensure that we didn't ask them to do our landscaping - I was left to assume they just wanted to make $1700 out of us, which would have been fine if they actually supplied a final design and quote, which they haven't provided... When Waterwise finally provided us with a 2D landscape design (Rev 3.1) on the 5 December 2022, we asked them to send through their final quote, including details of the sub-surface structure and reticulation plan as originally discussed back in September. But all we got back was endless, unprofessional whinging from Mirek about him not wasting his time finishing a design or quoting something he is not going to install. BUT WE PAID HIM FOR A DETAILED LANDSCAPE DESIGN and QUOTE. Waterwise stopped responding to our emails and still haven't provided us with the final design / quote we paid for. We really like their design, and all the other reviews suggest that Waterwise are great when they actually do the work! But I wish we could get our money back so we can spend it on proper, detailed design work, or at the very least receive the final, detailed quote that we have them paid for.

Great experience from conception to completion I absolutely love my new garden it looks amazing and the guys at Waterwise did an amazing job at with high quality parts and workmanship at a great price. I would not hesitate to recommend Waterwise and they offer good support with ongoing free advice and tips to keep the garden looking amazing.
