Tim Davies Landscaping — Landscaping in Osborne Park, WA

It is not common practice for us to leave negative reviews. However, we feel it is important to share our experience so that others can ask the right questions during the research phase before committing to a residential construction landscape project. Unfortunately, we have encountered numerous issues throughout the process. There have been material ordering errors that resulted in weeks of delay. While setbacks can happen, our primary concern has been communication, which has been extremely disappointing from the site supervisor through to head office. We raised these concerns with the office several weeks ago and requested improvement, yet the standard has remained unchanged. We have had subcontractors contact us directly to ask whether works are proceeding onsite and to seek direction on the project. This suggests there may be broader internal communication or workload issues. We completely understand that delays and unexpected hiccups are sometimes unavoidable. However, clear and proactive communication is paramount, especially when a company positions itself as a premium provider. At this point, we feel as though we are micromanaging a project that we paid a premium to have professionally managed. Today, we were informed by subcontractors that the supervisor assigned to our job is no longer involved. We have received no direct communication about this change. While our supervisor has been knowledge, nice to work with and helpful when available, it is evident he has been under significant pressure and likely managing an excessive workload, which has impacted delivery. We are hopeful that these issues stem from overcommitting and under delivering, which is something that can be rectified. We genuinely hope to update this review positively upon completion, as that would always be our preference. However, at present, we are feeling disappointed with how the project has been handled.

We were very happy with the entire TDL team. They provided great advice from the start through to the end of the limestone retaining and landscaping project. The employees for friendly, polite and easy to communicate with. I'd certainly recommend them for any project.

TDL designed and managed our total backyard renovation. Works completed included demolition of existing backyard finishes, extensive earthworks, new boundary fencing, pavings, new concrete pool, and gardens. From our first contact with TDL, staff were always so polite. Gavin and David designed a functional space, that maximises our small yard area. Even with the addition of a new pool, the area still feels open and spacious. They were very accommodating to our input into the final design. In time, as the new garden is fully established, we will get the full effect of Gavin's clever garden design, making the area feel green and lush and providing further privacy from neighbours. Jayson was an amazing site manager. We had a relatively smooth construction period, even as we headed into winter, and rain, construction finished pretty much within the expected time frames. With Jayson efficiently scheduling and managing a lot of different contractors on site each week, work was done without any unnecessary delays. Every sub contractor did high-quality work. We are so happy with the outcomes. As the scope of our design included elements requiring planning approvals and building permits, the total time from first site visit to completion was 16 months ( 12 months for the design and approvals phase, plus xmas break, and about 4 months for construction), something to keep in mind, but trust the process, as we have ended up with a beautiful new space, with relatively no stress, as it was so expertly managed by TDL.

We could not recommend TDL anymore if we tried. They honestly delivered an absolute fantastic landscaping result on our new Karrinyup home. TDL Project Managers Vinson & Carter listened to all our landscaping vision and needs, were patient with design questions, gave great advice and then executed all aspects of the landscape design (concrete, decking, grass, retic, trees, lighting etc.) in great time. From someone in the property development industry we always wanted TDL to landscape our house and Vinson and his team did not disappoint. We are now able to enjoy Xmas on our fresh lawn and host holiday events. Five stars for TDL!
