Bunnings Subiaco — Landscaping in Subiaco, WA

I went to Bunnings Subiaco today to grab some free boxes, but the cashier said I couldn’t take any unless I bought something first. I told her I’d literally just shopped there an hour earlier and showed her the receipt, but she still said no, I had to make a purchase here. So I bought a bottle of vinegar, then picked up about six small boxes. She immediately said I could only take three. This isn’t my first rodeo getting free boxes from Bunnings, other stores have always let me take what I need without any fuss. What’s the actual rule on free boxes these days? Has there been a change, or is this just one store being extra strict?

Sunny went above and beyond. He saw I was looking for something, found it was out of stock, suggested an alternative quickly, price matched it, and I was out within 10mins. Excellent service.

As an 88 year old I had a fall in the Bunnings Subiaco car park. Immediately staff and customers were helping me and making sure I was ok. Having cut various limbs blood was everywhere but 5 members of staff were absolutely marvellous. I was seated on a chair given water and they spent a lot of time patching me up ensuring I was able to get to my car and in fit condition to drive. Their concern was genuine and their conduct exemplary. Unfortunately I do not have their names but hopefully they will see these thanks - management please note. Thank you to all these good Samaritans and those of the public who helped I am very grateful. John Hinton.

Bunnings is always one of the happiest places to visit in my opinion. I went in this time just for the key cutting service and was really impressed. Shoutout to Jaryd for his excellent customer service. He cut 9 keys in under 10 minutes and even offered to cable tie them together so I wouldn’t lose them on the way home. It’s the little things that make a difference.
