Entering the store a few minutes before closing time, I knew exactly what I needed. I was approached by one of the staff. I quickly identified what I required. I was attended by personnel promptly, professionally and personably who knew exactly where to find the item I required. I left the store quite impressed and appreciated the business like, prompt attention I experienced. Thank you to all the staff involved!

Today I went to Mitre 10 Glenelg for the first time in many years since I was a hardware rep, back in the day when we had choice and competition. I found good old fashion Customer Service and a welcoming attitude. Reminded on the days when we didn’t have the Big Box Retailer dominating everywhere. I was after some timber screws for a Cubby house and took a sample with me. I was approached by a Sales person (Wandee) who not only instantly identified the screw and led me straight to the area where they were. Then she asked me if I had the bit to fit the screw head and if I was going to drill a pilot hole to make it easier for the screw to go into the timber. I had forgotten I needed the bit for the screw head and drilling a pilot hole was going to make these long screws go in a lot easier. Wow the advice saved me another trip. It reminded me of the days where people in hardware knew their stuff. Unlike today if you ask a question at a Big Box hardware, the response you usually get is “I don’t know, I only work here”. Good old fashion service is alive and well at Glenelg Mitre 10

I've been in a several times inquiring about different plants and Angus is always as helpful and knowledgeable as a person can possibly be. It's so nice to be able to speak to someone before purchasing new plants who really knows their stuff and has so much passion. Thank you Angus!

Purchased the Haron snake auger earlier today. Badly blocked shower drain now clear. $35 WELL spent and my new favourite tool. Saved mega$$$ too on plumber, as well as a new skill to add to my diy repertoir.
