The physical environment and businesses along Marine Terrace are good for the soul but the inflexibility of the Town when considering my parking infringement appeal was disappointing and saddening. City Beach or Freo for me in future.

$100 fine for parking a motorbike in a parking space - not sign posted anywhere as illegal, just a normal '1P' sign. If your goal was to get people to not spend any money in your council area, you've succeeded 👍

The parking rangers will give you parking fine for literally 10 mins over the limits... A 100$ fine for overstay in a summer during the day is way too expensive. Great way to support your business along the parade. Will never go there again or to their shops at the beach. Cash cow rangers...

As a Cottesloe resident I am appalled at the level of service from the council. Although the rates are extremely high there seems to be an additional cost for absolutely everything. My rubbish bin lid broke (which is council property) and I asked for it to be repaired. I was advised that there would be a lengthy application process and a charge of $26 On another occasion I wanted to replace my crossover. I was told I would need to make a full application including technical drawings and also provide a traffic management plan even though I was only replacing the crossover. In addition I was told I would also be required to pay a hefty application/processing fee. The arrogance and incompetence of this organisation is breathtaking, perhaps as residents we need to canvass the idea of a vote of no confidence in the CEO and management of this organisation.
